Past Events
Three Peaks - Dan Nathan and his team of Louise Starr and Sebastian Sems from Nationwide took part in the Three Peaks Challenge. They climbed Scarfel Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon within 24 hours and raised over £500.
Channel Swim - In August 2006 two teams containing a total of 15 people set out from Dover to complete the 23 miles to the French coast raising £26,000 for FOAG.
Journey for Life - Inspired by the plight of many African women in Uganda a group of mothers in Gloustershire, launched a Journey for Life to raise money for maternity and paediatric care at Kumi Hospital, Uganda. Carrying their babies in slings they walked the 8 miles from their village in Dixton to the Cheltenham Maternity Hospital to raise awareness about the difficulties African women face in accessing maternity care. The 2008 Greeneye Hayathlon - 80 athletes conquered the Black Mountains in September 2008 – completing a stunning 13-mile run from the centre of Hay-on-Wye up to Hay Bluff and down to Galsbury for a 5 mile canoe race back to Hay.
